The new Auburn Farmersí & Cultural Market will open June 25

The new Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market will open with a kickoff event on June 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Riley-Pappas Performance Pavilion in the Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex at 203.5 Pakachoag Street. The market will feature products from local farms and businesses, with a variety of offerings ranging from fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy products to handmade jewelry and gifts, and even products from a local alpaca farm. Additional offerings will include information on town recycling and sustainability resources as well as available plots in the new community garden currently taking shape at Pakachoag Church. The kickoff event will also feature a bouncy house, food truck, and live music.

During this first season, the market will run monthly on the last Sunday of each month through the end of October at the Riley-Pappas Performance Pavilion. The market will be held rain or shine, with neighboring Pakachoag Church serving as the inside location during inclement weather.

The result of a joint effort between Pakachoag Church, the Town of Auburn, and the Auburn Cultural Council, the Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market was formed to provide Auburn residents with access to locally grown and produced food and to help shine a spotlight on local small businesses. More information about the market can be found on Facebook@AuburnFCM.
