Lemansky Park, 400 Oxford Street (across from the Police Station)
This is a multi use complex of 24.4 acres which contains the following: full size baseball diamond with lights; full size softball diamond with lights; 3 tennis courts; 2 basketball courts with lights; youth playground (Rocketland); skateboard park; quarter mile track; full size soccer field inside of track area; multi purpose field (behind tennis courts) that can be used for soccer practices, football practices and youth soccer games. This complex also has public bathrooms and a concession stand. Auburn Little League, Auburn Youth Soccer, Youth Lacrosse League, Girls Softball League utilize this field. This complex is also used by adult leagues when not in use by youth athletic leagues.
Goddard Park, Auburn Street
This 2 acre park is located directly behind the Fire Station. Dedicated to Robert Goddard, it contains a facsimile of the original rocket that was launched on Pakachaog Hill by Dr. Goddard. A dam is located here which has been dedicated to Captain Patrick Foley, the only Auburn firefighter to die in the line of duty. There are no playing fields or sanitary facilities located at the park.
Camp Gleason, 285 Central Street
Camp Gleason contains 15.7 acres of wooded property that was deeded to the town by American Steel and Wire Co. There is a building currently housing Recreation activities as well as public meetings. There is a small beach area that was once used for public swimming which has since been closed. The beach area is now used for fishing. There are many nature trails throughout this park, including a dam area. There are no playing fields or sanitary facilities at this park.
Holstrom Field, Holstrom Court
This property is located at the end of Holstrom Court, which is adjacent to Town Fair Tire off of Southbridge Street. It consists of 1.6 acres with a youth baseball and/or softball diamond. Auburn Little League holds games for youths 7 and under on this field. There are no sanitary facilities at this park.
Franklin Field, 3 Franklin Street
This park contains a youth playground, a Little League baseball diamond, and one basketball court. It consists of 2.1 acres of property and is located directly on Franklin Street, off of Sword Street, adjacent to the Auburn Industrial Park. There is a seasonal concession stand that is open throughout the Little League season. There are no sanitary facilities at this park.
Boyce Street Tot Lot, Boyce Street
This 1.6 acre park contains a youth playground. There is limited parking and no sanitary facilities.
Eddy Pond Boat Ramp, South Street
This 1 acre area is used for public access to Eddy Pond.
Randall School (School Administration Bldg), 5 West Street
This property contains a youth soccer field and Little League baseball diamond on 7 acres.
Carrie Granger Field, located behind the Masonic Home on Southbridge Street
Granger Field is a 6.5 acre park with a full size soccer field, 1 intermediate soccer field and a Little League baseball diamond. There are no sanitary facilities.
Mary D. Stone School, 10 Church Street
The half acre property contains a youth playground and youth soccer fields that are utilized after 5:30 pm while school is in session. There are no sanitary facilities.
Bryn Mawr School, 35 Swanson Road
This school contains playing fields for Little League baseball and soccer fields. There is also a playground and can be used after 5:30 pm while school is in session. There are no sanitary facilities. It consists of 10.5 acres of property.
Julia Bancroft School, 11 Vinal Street
The schoolyard consists of 6 acres that contains a youth playground and a youth softball diamond. Available for public use after 5:30 pm while school is in session. No sanitary facilities.
Pakachoag School, 110 Pakachoag Street
The schoolyard contains a youth playground, youth baseball diamond and soccer fields. This facility consists of 7.2 acres and has no sanitary facilities. Available for public use after 5:30 pm while school is in session.
Auburn Middle School, 10 Swanson Road
The Middle School consists of 12.9 acres containing a full size soccer field and a Little League diamond. Available for public use after 5:30 p.m. while school is in session. No sanitary facilities.
Auburn High School, 99 Auburn Street
This new complex consists of one full size soccer/football field with lights, an all Purpose field with lights, quarter mile track, one full size baseball diamond with lights, one full size softball diamond with lights, a youth playground, 5 tennis courts with lights and one basketball court with lights. There are public bathrooms and a concession stand. All of the youth athletic leagues are able to schedule games at this complex. For permitting purposes, all requests for use by non resident or adult games must be approved by the Athletic Director of Auburn High School and the Auburn School Department.
The Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex, 203 Pakachoag Street
The Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex is a 20 acre complex which consists of five playing fields (two artificial and three sod). The town’s annual 4th of July celebration and fireworks are also held at this complex.
