Goddard Park Survey

Survey

We need your help!

The redevelopment of Drury Square has been an ongoing focus of Town Administration. The overall vision for Drury Square is to develop a sense of place and to enhance the economic value of the area as a place to shop, live, and visit.  Creating a vibrant, walkable and identifiable town center will take time but with each initiative and grant we move closer to bringing this vision to life.

An important anchor in Drury Square is Goddard Park. Having this open space in Drury Square is a huge asset and can help facilitate civic engagement, community events and passive recreation. Improving Goddard Park and incorporating more public amenities such as a walking trail around the pond, or a pedestrian bridge connecting the library site to the park or even smaller additions such as more benches will help strengthen its character as a community destination.

The town received two separate grants totaling $25,000 for district local technical assistance (DLTA) to work with the Central Mass. Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) to create a conceptual redesign of Goddard Park. Together, we worked on creating an interactive survey as an outreach tool to encourage residents to provide feedback about that amenities they would like to see at Goddard Park.

This interactive survey allows you to virtually "walk" around the park, view different potential amenities and vote on your favorite suggestions. The survey will be open until May 1st. We encourage residents and businesses to participate in this survey so Town Administration can truly make Goddard Park a place where the community can come together. Interactive survey can be found at:  experience.arcgis.com/experience/e50fef50f67444d999ad35503a84998f .
