The goal of the aggregation is to deliver savings over the life of the Program against National Grid Basic Service. However, such savings and future savings cannot be guaranteed.

            OFFICIAL TOWN BUSINESS

The Town of Auburn is announcing the new rate and term for its Community Choice Power Supply Program through its current supplier, Dynegy. The Town’s new aggregation rate is fixed at $0.17860 per kWh for all rate classes for 5 months (June 2022 to November 2022). For comparison purposes, National Grid’s Residential Basic Service rate is fixed at $0.11491 per kWh from May 1, 2022 through October 31, 2022. Historically, since Program inception, the Town has been able to secure lower rates than National Grid Basic Service but due to the timing of the expiration of its current contract, the Town had to solicit bids in a volatile market. The Town continues to work to find a long-term stable aggregation rate.

It is important to note that no action will be required by individual consumers to remain in the Program. All accounts currently enrolled will continue to see Dynegy printed under the “Supply Services” section of their monthly bill. This rate change will be seen on the July 2022 bills. To leave the Program prior to the rate change, please OPT-OUT a minimum of 3 business days before your June 2022 meter read (date varies by account)Consumers with questions about the Program should call Colonial Power Group, the Town’s aggregation consultant, at (866) 485-5858 ext. 1.
